Routiq / route.nl

International cycling and walking platform with its own route-planner technology (NL/DE/BE junction networks). From monolith to microservices, from route.nl to the international Routiq launch.

Led a remote team of 5 engineers as tech lead
Migration from monolith → microservices (Java/Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS)
Routing algorithm 50% faster (A* + Quadtree on geodata) · infrastructure costs −40% per year
Designed and built an OAuth 2.0 authentication service

Over this period route.nl grew into the international Routiq platform.
